OctoSun designs, manufactures and markets parabolic mirrors. These
mirrors are used for cooking, heating water, and generating energy.
The mirror can boil a cup of tea in about 10 to 12 minutes on a clear
and sunny day. During our latest Sunday Brunch Demo, we made pancakes,
re-heated sausages, and melted cheese.
Current projects:
- An improved version of the mirror that can be disassembled and
shipped easily.
- Finding customers.
Other ongoing projects:
- A Stirling engine to generate electricity.
- An attachment to heat swimming pools.
- An attachment to distill alcohol for fuel.
- An attachemnt to pre-heat water.
Business projects:
- Hiring a grant writer
- Partnering with non-profit organizations to bring the mirror to 3rd
world countries where deforestation is a problem. (Haiti, Nepal, etc)
